Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM)
The Department of Mathematics at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is recognized as one of Indonesia’s leading mathematics departments, offering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in mathematics. Its strength spans pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and actuarial sciences, with a strong emphasis on both theoretical foundations and practical applications. The department’s academic and research activities are supported by five active research groups: Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Computational Mathematics & Data Science. It is also actively engaged in organizing academic events and fostering international collaborations, notably through the SEAMS‑UGM International Conference on Mathematics and Its Applications, a quadrennial event that brings together researchers and practitioners from around the world. Currently (2025), the Department of Mathematics UGM also organizes a CIMPA School which focuses on number theory and its applications.

Sanata Dharma University (SDU)
Sanata Dharma University (SDU) is a private (Jesuit) university founded in 1955 and provides an excellent atmosphere for teaching-learning process and also for research. There are sufficient and convenient facilities such as classrooms, meeting rooms, computer laboratories, library with good collections of books and journals, internet access all over the campus to support various scientific events. SDU offers undergraduate programs in Mathematics as well as in Mathematics Education, and also a master program in Mathematics Education. The main focus of the Department of Mathematics is in applied mathematics (fluid dynamics, optimal control, stochastic models), statistics, and data science. Despite its young age, the Department of Mathematics of Sanata Dharma University always participates in the promotion and development of mathematics locally, regionally and even internationally. Two SEAMS Schools (in 2015 and 2016), and some conferences and workshops have been organized by the Department of Mathematics of Sanata Dharma University.
