Kotagede, once the capital of the Mataram Islamic Kingdom in the 15th century, is known for its ideal Javanese landscape. A short walk through the old town will offer a glimpse into the history and charm of this area.
Omah UGM, a nearly 200-year-old house, survived the earthquake despite some damage. It was transformed into a center for cultural preservation and disaster mitigation training for heritage sites.
The Muara Jogja Resto offers a unique Bali-inspired ambiance with stunning views of the lake, boats, and beach.
Obelix Sea View, located just east of Parangtritis Beach, offers a stunning view of the South Sea, making it one of the best spots in Yogyakarta to enjoy a sunset. It offers a variety of attractions, including live music, arts performances, and beautiful photo spots, such as The Bridge, The Nest, and the Mozaic Amphitheater.
